(April 1, 2015 - 95.9 FM - WATD) Lt. Governor Karyn Polito visited the Pinehills in Plymouth Tuesday, as part of a tour of communities noted for being an economic engine for their region.
With a background in development, Lt. Governor Polito said she was pleased to come to the Pinehills to understand, “… that changing the zoning would really work to have a quality neighborhood here.”
And Pinehills Managing Partner Tony Green added to that:
“It’s the Town of Plymouth that created the zoning that allowed all this to happen and for us to be successful here at Pinehills.”
So, what did the Lt. Governor really think of Pinehills?
“It would really be a dream come to true to be able to live here and there are many options for people that come here, but I was very, very impressed and enjoyed it so much,” said Polito.
Pinehills is now the largest taxpayer in Plymouth having added more than $1 billion in new assessed value, and provided more than $13 million in net tax revenue after expenses to the town last year.
