Where to Eat and Drink at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

There’s more pizza and gourmet sandwiches to choose from

It can be hard to find something good to eat at the airport, especially without a lot of time to search around. But there are dining gems in each of the city's local airports, which have been improving their hospitality offerings in recent years.

Eater has updated its guide to eating and drinking at Dulles International Airport for the summer travel season with info about restaurants in each terminal, recommendations about where to go for those with time to kill, as well as tips for travelers who just want to grab a bite on the way to the gate.

The latest arrival is a Pizza Hut restaurant (Post-security, Concourse D) near Gate D19 that provides carryout service as well as sit-down dining. Other recent additions include Burgundy & Gold Club, a Washington Redskins-themed sports bar that opened in September 2017 with local brews, pub fare and memorabilia-stocked shelves. Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck also opened a second restaurant inside Dulles called the Chef's Table, while D.C. restaurateur Hakan Ilhan added full-service bar and restaurant Cafe Americana to his portfolio. Airport personnel tells Eater chain sandwich shop Jersey Mike’s Subs is projected to replace an outgoing Cosi (Post-security, Concourse A) later this summer.
