MarketPlace PHL announces Chickie's & Pete's and Stellar News Named as Restaurant and Retailer of the Quarter

PHILADELPHIA — Sept. 6, 2017 — MarketPlace PHL, the private partner with the City of Philadelphia in the management of the food and retail programs throughout Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), announced Chickie’s & Pete’s, located in Concourse A-West, and Stellar News, located in Concourse F, as the Restaurant and Retailer of the Fourth Quarter.

Cutting EDGE! (Excellence Drives Great Experiences), a program initiated by MarketPlace PHL, is designed to recognize merchants that provide exceptional customer service. The program recognizes merchants based on various key customer-centric metrics. Each merchant is eligible to earn EDGE! points by consistently providing great customer service and participating in marketing programs. At the end of each quarter, MarketPlace PHL awards the Merchant of the Quarter trophies to the restaurant and retail merchants that earned the most points.

Chickie’s & Pete’s, a Philadelphia favorite since 1977, is a hub for sports fans. When the owners’ son began experimenting with seafood recipes, the Philly-famous Crabfries® were born, making Chickie’s & Pete’s the most popular bar in the city.
