MarketPlace Again Hosting St. Baldrick’s Shave Event

MarketPlace Development, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and LaGuardia (LGA) airline partners are taking part in the annual St. Baldrick’s Shave event, which will be held May 11.

During the event, airport employees have their heads shaved to stand in solidarity with and raise money for kids fighting cancer.

Earth Day Celebration at Palm Beach Outlets

In honor of Earth Day, which launched on April 22, 1970, Palm Beach Outlets and the City of West Palm Beach will play host to a number of local nonprofits that will be sharing what they do to encourage environmental stewardship and how they can help individuals become more ecofriendly. According to the Earth Day Network, more than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year.

Asheville Outlets Announces Four More Stores

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (April 15, 2015) – The region's first West Elm Outlet Store, favorite brands Bath & Body Works and Clark's Outlet, and Bible Outlet will all be opening at the new Asheville Outlets. Almost 50 outlet stores have been announced so far as the much anticipated outlet center prepares for a May 1st opening. Once completed, Asheville Outlets will feature over 75 name brand outlets and local retailers.

Noodles & Company to Open Nearby

Pasta restaurant chain Noodles & Company will open a Westwood location on Friday, April 24 at 11 a.m.

The first 50 guests on opening day will receive a coupon for a free bowl of noodles.

This is the third Massachusetts location for Noodles & Company, serving classic noodle and pasta dishes from around the world. The Westwood locale is located in the new University Station development at 125 University Ave.

Interior Work Begins On Outlets of Little Rock

(April 3, 2015) LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The walls are up, the roof is on, and the interior work is beginning on the new Outlets of Little Rock.

"I'm really excited to see what new stores are going to come in there," said Blair Arnold of southwest Little Rock. "I can't wait to go shop there." Roughly 75 different stores will open inside the 325,000 square foot facility in Otter Creek this fall. Cavender's Boot City and David's Burgers will also open nearby later this year.

Palm Beach Outlets to Host Pet Photo Event

(Palm Beach Outlets  - April 2, 2015) What better day is there for animal lovers to have their beloved pet photographed — and all for a charitable cause — than on National Pet Day?  The public is invited to bring their pooch, feline or even hedgehog for a fun-filled outing. There will be a photo booth set up with colorful props for guests to use during their photo session that includes four poses along with a printed filmstrip that will be taken of their pet.

Lt. Governor Calls Pinehills a Dream Come True

(April 1, 2015 - 95.9 FM - WATD) Lt. Governor Karyn Polito visited the Pinehills in Plymouth Tuesday, as part of a tour of communities noted for being an economic engine for their region.

With a background in development, Lt. Governor Polito said she was pleased to come to the Pinehills to understand, “… that changing the zoning would really work to have a quality neighborhood here.”

And Pinehills Managing Partner Tony Green added to that:

“It’s the Town of Plymouth that created the zoning that allowed all this to happen and for us to be successful here at Pinehills.”

Locals network for jobs at outlet job fair

Networking was the name of the game at the Asheville Outlets Job Fair Thursday at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center in Fletcher. Over 1,000 people of all ages drove from all over Buncombe and Henderson counties to interview for one or more of the hundreds of retail jobs at the 48 participating stores.

(WLOS - March 26, 2015) BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. -- Job seekers will flood into the Asheville Outlets Job Fair today at the WNC Agricultural Center. The fair is from 8am to 7pm in the Expo Building, with dozens of stores looking to fill over 800 full and part-time jobs. Some retailers will hold interviews on the spot. If you are interested in a job at Asheville Outlets, make sure you dress for a job interview and be ready to speak with hiring managers. Candidates are also encouraged to bring several résumés. Westwood Apartments Aim to Draw Young Professionals, Empty Nesters

Long one of the top addresses for tech and biotech firms, Route 128 is about to become a destination for luxury apartments as well. The 350-unit Gables University Station in Westwood is set to welcome its first tenants in early June, featuring rents ranging from $1,900 to more than $3,000 a month. The upscale, four-story apartment community will take shape right off 128 at the new University Station mega development in the southern suburb.

Teresa Richards Named GM at Outlets of Little Rock

(Arkansas Business - March 16, 2015) New England Development of Newton, Massachusetts, has named Teresa Richards as general manager of Outlets of Little Rock in the Gateway Town Center.

Richards began Feb. 2. The shopping center is set to open in October.

In a news release, New England Development said Richards will lead a management team responsible for marketing, operating and maintaining the center. That includes managing tenant relations, local leasing, customer relations and community relations.

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, a casual dining concept that uses authentic 800-degree coal-burning ovens to create “well done pizza,” is expanding to the Greater Boston area.
