Asheville Outlets Management Team in Place

(December 12, 2014: ICSC Global Outlet Newsbrief) Anticipating the spring 2015 opening of Asheville (N.C.) Outlets, New England Development has already gotten the center’s management team in place: Sharon Morgan is general manager, Ken McCain is operations manager, Tammy Cox is marketing director, Megan Thorp is specialty leasing manager/marketing assistant and Joy Wells is office manager. FFO Realty Advisors is handling leasing.

CambridgeSide Hosts Cultural Survival Bazaar

(The Boston Calendar) Cultural Survival’s Bazaar Program works to strengthen indigenous cultures by providing them with a venue, which they otherwise lack, to sell their handmade art and crafts while perpetuating their artistic traditions and providing a sustainable income to indigenous artisans and their communities. On December 12, 13, and 14, 2014, Cultural Survival will hold one of its Bazaars at CambridgeSide (www.shopcambridgeside.com) on Levels 2 and 3.

Site Plan Application for Clarksburg Premium Outlets Approved

(December 8, 2014) Last week, the Montgomery County Planning Board voted unanimously to approve the site plan application for Clarksburg Premium Outlets® at Cabin Branch.  The Planning Board had a special appreciation for the project's unique design plan and emphasis on energy efficiency, including the planned electric vehicle charging stations, solar panels, and bike paths.  The project team is excited to begin construction in spring 2015 and looks forward to opening during the summer of 2016.

Boston's Cruise Port Allows Easy Access to Boston's Best Shopping

(USA Today/10Best) Hip, contemporary CambridgeSide Galleria is an indoor mall that draws locals for easy indoor shopping at all the shops you love: Ann Taylor, Gap, Victoria's Secret, Best Buy, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Wilson's. Easily accessible by MBTA, Boston area teens spend a great deal of time perusing the goods offered here. Home to a pretty decent food court and several sit-down restaurants you can enjoy a side of food with your shopping. Paid parking is available in their indoor garage.

Philadelphia International Airport Ranked Among Healthiest Airports in the Country

I always eat before heading to the airport, but if my flight gets delayed and my stomach starts to growl, I usually see it as an excuse to eat my one Cinnabon of the year because, well, what good healthy vegetarian eats are there?

PHL Ranked Among the Nation's Healthiest Airports

PHILADELPHIA — Dec. 5, 2014 — Bon Apetit! Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has been named one of the healthiest airports in the nation by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. PHL tied for 11th place, alongside John F. Kennedy Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

In a survey conducted by registered dietitians, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine recognized that 75 percent of restaurants at 23 of the nation’s busiest airports offer at least one cholesterol-free, plant-based, fiber-packed entrée.

Palm Beach Outlets to Host Free Santa’s Breakfast and Holiday Party for Kids

Palm Beach Outlets is hosting Santa’s Breakfast and Kids Fun Time Holiday Party on Saturday, December 6.

The festivities feature a free buffet breakfast sponsored by Good Samaritan Medical Center from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the food pavilion at Palm Beach Outlets. From 9 to 11 a.m., South Florida Parenting will offer numerous activities and fun for kids, including cookie decorating, face painting, hands on holiday crafts, music and games with prizes, a bounce house and more.

Holidays on the Green

(Wicked Local Duxbury - November 25, 2014) Saturday, Dec. 6, Holidays on the Green returns to The Pinehills for the 10th year. The day kicks off from 8 to 11 a.m. with “Breakfast with Santa,” by reservation at Mamma Mia’s, and ends with a Christmas tree lighting at 5 p.m. Other activities begin at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

Palm Beach Outlets announces Black Friday plans

(Palm Beach Outlets) Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, will officially mark the start of the new retail center’s first holiday season when all of its 100-plus shops will be open at the stroke of midnight.

A few of the stores will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They are New York & Company Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Ulta, Express Factory Outlet, and Wilson’s Leather. At 10 p.m., Asics Outlet, Under Armour, Gap Factory Store, and Rawlings will open, and at 11 p.m., Greg Norman and Haggar Clothing Company will open.

(November 14, 2014) Nantucket Island Resorts has been named one of the “Top Places to Work in 2014” in the seventh annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. This year, 125 Massachusetts-based companies made the list and Nantucket Island Resorts ranked 11th in the “Large Employer” category (250-999 employees) – an impressive feat as this was the first year the company was invited to participate in the survey.
