Local restaurant will be featured at Outlets of Des Moines - Des Moines Register

In the first of five sneak peeks this week, Outlets of Des Moines has said a local business will join the center when it opens Oct. 20.

Teriyaki Boys, a casual quick-service eatery in Downtown Des Moines, will be located in the outlet mall’s food pavilion. The restaurant features meat, vegetables and sauces cooked on a grill teriyaki style. Teriyaki Boys will be one of three eateries in the food pavilion in the mall.

Teriyaki Boys owner Jay Wang also operates Wasabi Tao in downtown Des Moines, Wasabi Chi in Des Moines and Wasabi in Waukee.

Free Drive Electric Car Show at Asheville Outlets

Houseboat For Rent Offers Rooms With A View

NEWBURYPORT— It's sometimes said there aren't a great many hotel rooms in this community. But at least one alternative comes with a view of the water.

A houseboat called Dockside recently opened as an overnight rental, tied up at Harbor Marina behind the Starboard Galley restaurant on Water Street.

The houseboat is owned by New England Development and offers a one-loft bunk, a living room with a pullout sofa, a bathroom, kitchenette and dining nook. The craft also features a TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

Outlets of Little Rock’s Arkansas Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival Named by Chain Store Age as one of America’s Top Retail Experiences

LITTLE ROCK, AR (August 2017) – Chain Store Age recently named Outlets of Little Rock’s Arkansas Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival in the top ten in terms of America’s top retail experiences. Siting innovation and inspiration, Chain Store Age singled out venues that provided exceptional experiential events for their patrons. 

The Arkansas Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival at Outlets of Little Rock highlighted a sell-out crowd of 6,000 visitors, many coming from neighboring states. Center traffic went up 112% on the day of the festival in April 2017.

Asheville Outlets Hosts Flea For Ya'll

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (August 2017) – Asheville Outlets will team up with OpenDoors of Asheville to host Flea for Y’all the last Sunday of each month through October 2017. The Flea takes over the tree-lined lot next to Field & Stream. The next Asheville Outlets Flea for Y’all will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Asheville Outlets Shuttle will be available to drive shoppers to and from the center parking lot during Flea for Y’all from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Outlets of Des Moines on schedule

Everything is on schedule for the Outlets of Des Moines to open in October.

With good weather this summer, construction has been speeding ahead for the new shopping center in Altoona.

“Ryan Companies, our general contractor, has done a great job in getting the project complete to be turned over to us. That is scheduled to happen by the end of the month and some of the final touches are being made in the coming weeks,” said TJ Just, general manager of the Outlets of America.

Book Warehouse at Outlets of Little Rock Hosts MedExpress Teddy Bear Clinic

LITTLE ROCK, AR (July 2017) – Book Warehouse at the Outlets of Little Rock will host a Teddy Bear Clinic on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. for local youths. The clinic is a free community outreach program that teaches children about health care and healthy habits. The warm, friendly staff of MedExpress will lead classes and groups of children as they observe and learn about hand washing, X-rays, splinters and much more. The demonstrations will be on Sniffle the bear, the huggable MedExpress Teddy bear.
