Chairman Stephen R. Karp’s development of Liberty Tree Mall in Massachusetts—one of the first enclosed malls in the northeast—marked the start of New England Development’s growth to become the nation’s largest privately held mall company.  NED has continued to redefine shopping convenience with some of the country’s most widely recognized and successful retail malls.

The current portfolio includes such bustling regional centers as CambridgeSide, Chestnut Hill Square, University Station and Westgate Mall in Massachusetts—and Marketplace at the Outlets in West Palm Beach, Florida.
