The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) designated MarketPlace Development in 2012 as the concessions manager for Washington Dulles International Airport, responsible for marketing, leasing and management services for the food service and retail concessions throughout the airport. Washington Dulles International features 119,000 square feet of concessions space, providing numerous opportunities for local, regional, and national retailers and restaurateurs. There are 91 tenants and 11 RMU (retail merchandising units), with noteworthy businesses including: Estee Lauder/M.A.C, Swarovski, Tumi, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Starbucks, The Firkin & Fox and Vino Volo Wine Room. International luxury retailers such as Burberry, Michael Kors, Coach, Thomas Pink, and L’Occitane recently opened at Washington Dulles International in 2015. New restaurants at Washington Dulles International now include: Au Bon Pain, brb (be right burger), Bistro Atelier, Bar Symon, Carrabba’s Itallian Grill, Chef Geoff’s, DC Craft Brews, District ChopHouse, Smashburger, and &pizza.
