Michael DiCosola

Michael DiCosola is an accomplished real estate executive with more than 30 years of experience in retail real estate that includes working over 20 years for MarketPlace Development.

As the President of MarketPlace, he directs the development, management and leasing for all MarketPlace Development projects, including Boston Logan International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Additionally, he leads the new business efforts for the company.

Prior to his role as President, as the Executive Vice President of the company, he was responsible for directing MarketPlace’s, merchandising, leasing, and strategic planning. He was also involved with finance and acquisitions and project management.

Previous to joining MarketPlace Development, Michael served as Vice President of Real Estate for Lids Corporation, helping to build a start-up company into a multi-channel retail business. In this capacity, he managed the site selection, lease negotiations and construction of stores throughout the United States. Michael was also Head of Real Estate at Sunglass Hut International and served as Senior Real Estate Representative for Petrie Stores Corporation.

Michael received a B.S. in Finance from Old Dominion University, magna cum laude, and an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Airports Council International-NA.
