(Wicked Local Duxbury - November 25, 2014) Saturday, Dec. 6, Holidays on the Green returns to The Pinehills for the 10th year. The day kicks off from 8 to 11 a.m. with “Breakfast with Santa,” by reservation at Mamma Mia’s, and ends with a Christmas tree lighting at 5 p.m. Other activities begin at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
Shop the holiday artisan market with locally handcrafted gifts. Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, ornament making and cookie decorating for the kids, photos with Santa and more. This year, in addition to the farm animal petting zoo, local children’s author Brian Lies shares the musical petting zoo featured in his book “Bats in the Band.” Registration for the Reindog Parade is at 2 p.m. and the parade starts at 3. Holidays on the Green is open to the public with many free activities.
