MarketPlace Development, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and LaGuardia (LGA) airline partners are taking part in the annual St. Baldrick’s Shave event, which will be held May 11.
During the event, airport employees have their heads shaved to stand in solidarity with and raise money for kids fighting cancer.
This year, the partners will honor 11-year-old Elijah, who has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia since age 4. He’s in remission and in sixth grade in Freeport, Long Island, with hopes of attending middle school in September.
MarketPlace Development’s Julio Fornaris will be having his head shaved for the fourth consecutive year. Donations can be made at www.stbaldricks.org/teams/lgarockstars.
