PHILADELPHIA — June 11, 2021 — Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) can now enjoy the iconic American burger joint Burger King in Terminal E. PHL Food & Shops added Burger King to expand its already impressive roster of more than 170 eateries, retail shops and services. This eatery joins the 89 restaurants and retailers that are currently operating under restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
For more than 50 years, Burger King has been serving up delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and other sides, sweets, bundles, and more. Known for the legendary Whopper — and now the new plant-based Impossible Whopper — Burger King is committed to providing guests with a family-friendly experience, signature recipes, premium ingredients and affordable fare.
“We’re thrilled to bring a worldwide favorite like Burger King to PHL,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “From the Whopper to burritos, chicken sandwiches and fries, Burger King has something for every passenger of every age to enjoy on the fly.”
“We are beyond excited for the Burger King opening in Terminal E of the Philadelphia International Airport. It marks the corporation’s first airport rebrand in over 20 years. The modern look represents Burger King’s restaurant values of real and delicious food,” said Clayton Lawrence, Director of Non-Traditional Restaurants. “The expanded operations team will provide an unbeatable customer experience to travelers and employees alike here in Philadelphia; serving all the Burger King favorites.”
Burger King is located at the end of Concourse E, near gates E 11-17, and is operated in partnership with Seven Hills, INC. Burger King offers travelers quick and easy eats on the go and is the newest addition to the airport developer MarketPlace PHL’s award-winning portfolio at PHL.
