LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (November 2020) – Outlets of Little Rock (OutletsofLittleRock.com) will host The Salvation Army of Central Arkansas’ Red Kettle and Angel Tree campaign kick-off on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. The event will be held at the Christmas tree located near J. Crew Factory. The Salvation Army Brass Band Ensemble will perform. Social distancing protocols will be followed, and facial coverings are required.

“Outlets of Little Rock is pleased to support The Salvation Army of Central Arkansas’ programs,” says Teresa Deen Poe, General Manager of Outlets of Little Rock. “Bring joy to others this holiday season through the gift of giving to others,” she adds.

Visit The Salvation Army Angel Tree in the Food Pavilion from November 13 to December 13, 2020 and help a child in need this holiday season. Pick an ornament from The Salvation Army Angel Tree, purchase the requested gift and help make a child's holiday wish come true. Please bring new, unwrapped gifts to the information desk in the Food Pavilion. Monetary donations can be made at SalvationArmyaok.org/caac.

“We are so grateful to our community for their support of one of our most successful and long-lasting fundraising campaigns,” said Major Bill Mockabee, Commanding Officer, The Salvation Army. “Donations to The Salvation Army kettles at Christmas time support holiday meals for homeless and needy families, and also help The Salvation Army provide a myriad of other critical services all year long.”

Programs supported include:

  • Social services where programs provide food, shelter, clothing and financial assistance;
  • Casework and counseling, with programs for residential assistance;
  • Youth services, with programs for music, camping and family counseling;
  • Holiday programs, in which the distinctive Red Kettles are a centerpiece, to help families and individuals financially at year-end

Salvation Army red kettles will again be stationed outside of local stores and businesses Monday-Saturday from November 9, 2020 until Christmas Eve. “All bell ringers will be equipped with personal protective equipment this Christmas season, ensuring the safety of donors and shoppers, along with our volunteers,” said Major Bill Mockabee. “With more individuals and families coming to us for help than ever before, please don’t forget to give to The Salvation Army red kettles this season.”
