(March 1, 2016 – Travel Retail Business) Philadelphia International Airport’s MarketPlace PHL management company has announced the addition of Rebecca Simon as Manager of Marketing and Customer Service and Tammy Palmatier as Specialty Leasing Manager. Both will work with the award-winning retail programme at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) within its leadership team.
Rebecca Simon has a background in strategic marketing and public relations, ‘with a keen eye for social media and results-driven sales’ and she will now become the new marketing leader for the 170 in-line stores that make up Philadelphia Marketplace’s award-winning food and retail programme.
Prior to joining MarketPlace PHL, she owned and operated Simon Says Social Media – where she provided social media, sales and marketing strategies to launch, rebrand and grow clients’ businesses. In addition, Tammy Palmatier will identify new specialty concepts that complement the in-line retail programme. MarketPlace PHL says she has managed leasing opportunities at Greater Philadelphia companies, including the King of Prussia Mall (as part of Simon Property Group), Federal Realty and most recently, Peddler’s Village. The company says Palmatier ‘has a decade of experience’ coordinating vast portfolios of leases for retail and dining hubs. “Rebecca and Tammy both have a strong background in their respective fields, which makes them perfect fits for their new roles,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “We wish them success and are pleased to have them join the MarketPlace team.”
