Asheville, N.C. – This year, we’ll have one more reason to celebrate spring in Asheville. Asheville Outlets will open to the public on May 1, 2015. The stores are taking shape, hiring is underway, and people are taking their best guess as to which stores will sign on the dotted line.
“The countdown is on,” said Sharon Morgan, general manager of Asheville Outlets. “It’s so much fun to watch the plans we’ve been working with for a year come to life. We are very much looking forward to celebrating the grand opening, and to serving the region as the destination for shoppers into the future.”
While planning is still underway, opening weekend is sure to offer something for everyone. The official ribbon cutting will take place on Friday morning, with stores opening to shoppers Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m.
When it opens, Asheville Outlets will be the new destination for shoppers in Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina and eastern Tennessee. The outlet center, being developed by New England Development in partnership with Tremont Realty Capital, will feature approximately 75 outlets, a food court, open-air covered pedestrian-only walkways, and many other amenities to help make this a top shopping destination.
