U.S. News & World Report recently teamed up with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to create the 2nd annual “America’s 50 Healthiest Counties for Kids” rankings.  This year Middlesex County ranked #7 in the USA with Run & Ride at CambridgeSide specifically cited in the report as a unique and healthy public-private partnership.

Run & Ride at CambridgeSide promotes active health and fitness for children.  Over the past years, this event has become an innovative community collaboration between CambridgeSide Galleria, City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs, Cambridge Public Health Department/Cambridge Health Alliance, Cambridge Police Department, Cambridge Fire Department, UG2, United Security Inc., LAZ Parking and Urban AdvenTours. The event features entertainment and fun for the whole family.

A duathlon is an athletic event that consists of a running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then another running leg in a format bearing some resemblance to a traditional triathlon without the swimming.  The races will take place in and around CambridgeSide Galleria.  All abilities are welcome.
