A Sailor’s Valentine by Tuckernuck to Open May 22, 2026

NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS (May 2026) – Well known fashion retailer Tuckernuck will open its newest outpost, a concept store on Nantucket named “A Sailor’s Valentine” by Tuckernuck. Opening May 22, 2026, the boutique will be located at 23 Centre Street in downtown Nantucket and will offer a thoughtfully curated capsule that celebrates chic Americana style for a fun, full life.

Historically, sailor’s valentines were popular mementos in the 1800s given by sailors to loved ones as tokens of love, friendship, or sentiment upon returning from long sea voyages. Tuckernuck’s “A Sailor’s Valentine” serves as both a love letter to Nantucket and an ode to the island that has long inspired the brand. For Tuckernuck’s founders, Nantucket holds a personal significance, as they grew up spending summers on island.

The curated capsule has been designed with the Nantucket customer in mind, featuring a selection of summer staples, hostess gifts, unique vintage pieces, and more. Walls adorned with shells & coastal motifs, the retail space itself is an immersive experience, designed to evoke nostalgia and sentiment of a traditional sailor’s valentine. The Nantucket experiential destination invites customers to explore, discover, and celebrate the season in a setting that captures the essence of summer living.
