PHILADELPHIA — March 20, 2025 — Cheesesteak Week is back to honor the city’s most beloved sandwich, with PHL Food & Shops, the airport’s concessions program, grilling up this year’s celebration. National Cheesesteak Day is Monday, March 24.
From Monday, March 24, through Sunday, March 30, passengers traveling through the airport can savor exclusive offers, cheesesteak-inspired events and, chiefly … delicious Philadelphia cheesesteaks.
National Cheesesteak Day Celebration — Monday, March 24
Passengers can join PHL Food & Shops and Pepsi for a free, fun-filled event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the connector space between Terminals B and C, featuring:
- Pepsi-sponsored giveaways including Pepsi Zero and Frito Lay samples
- Entertainment including live music, a photo booth and giveaways
- Cheesesteak Topping Bar (noon to 1 p.m.):
- Chickie’s & Pete’s: Cheesesteak with topping selections including roasted red peppers and sweet peppers
- Cibo Bistro & Wine Bar: Cheesesteak mac and cheese with topping selections including toasted breadcrumbs, sriracha, green onions and parmesan cheese
- Passyunk Steaks: “All the Way” Cheesesteak bar featuring beef and chicken cheesesteaks with topping selections including lemon pepper, sautéed onions, mushrooms and green peppers
Weeklong Specialty Cheesesteak Creations and Meal Deals — March 24 to 30
For a limited time, multiple PHL restaurants are serving up specialty cheesesteaks, including:
- Bud & Marilyn’s: Shawarma cheesesteak — shawarma-spiced, marinated sliced ribeye steak on pita bread from Angel Bakeries, served with a cherry pepper tzatziki sauce
