ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (March 2019) – Asheville Outlets (ShopAshevilleOutlets.com) will host the Girl Scouts of western North Carolina 2019 Girl Scout Week Kickoff event on Sunday, March 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.at the center. Girl Scouts, volunteers, families and community members, including prospective Girl Scout families, are invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
The event commemorates Girl Scout Week, a time of celebrating the Girl Scout’s birthday. Activities will be hosted by participating Asheville Outlets retailers which include learning how to tie knots, how to market apparel & footwear items, food preparation and outdoor skill-building, among others. Additional activities will include an on-site Girl Scout Shop, games, crafts, a display of Girl Scout uniforms over the last 70 years and a final celebration of birthday cake at 3:00 p.m. RSVP requested at http://tinyurl.com/y5uov87o.
Girl Scouts is open to girls ages 5-18 in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
