White Elephant Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of accomplished luxury hospitality professional Ashish Verma as Executive Vice President. With over three decades of experience at some of the world’s most esteemed hospitality brands, Verma joins White Elephant Resorts at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. His appointment comes on the heels of a multi-million-dollar renovation of The Cottages at the Nantucket Boat Basin and ahead of the much-anticipated Aspen debut in late fall 2025.
In his new role, Verma will oversee operations across White Elephant Resorts’ growing portfolio, ensuring seamless execution of the brand’s signature guest experience, maintaining operational excellence across all properties, and leading strategic initiatives to support expansion. Drawing from his extensive background in luxury hospitality, he will play a key role in furthering the group’s legacy of elevated service, thoughtful design, and a deep sense of destination.
Ashish Verma said, “I am honored to join the White Elephant Resorts team and am committed to upholding the company’s values of integrity and excellence. I look forward to contributing to the brand’s thoughtful and strategic growth.”
Verma’s impressive career includes working with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt International Corporation, Orient Express Hotels, Trains and Cruises (now Belmond), The Lowell, New York, a leading Hotel of the World and The Chatwal brand under The Luxury Collection by Starwood and Marriott, in destinations ranging from Paris, New Delhi, New Orleans and New York City.
His achievements include becoming the youngest General Manager with Orient Express Hotels, Trains, and Cruises (now Belmond) and at Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, he led the property during Hurricane Katrina. He also served as General Manager of The Lowell, New York, where he achieved the highest ADR for luxury hotels in the U.S. at the time. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President, Luxury Division, overseeing The Chatwal brand in Manhattan and the Catskills, which was ranked among the top three hotels in New York City by Conde Nast Traveler for seven consecutive years.
“We are delighted to welcome Ashish Verma to the White Elephant Resorts family. His remarkable track record of elevating luxury hospitality experiences and deep understanding of our industry will be instrumental as we prepare to expand our footprint with our upcoming Aspen property and build upon the success in Nantucket and Palm Beach.
